Whippey married Lydia Paddack, daughter of Seth Paddack and Lydia Chadwick, before 1849; No children. William S. Whippey married Sarah C. Greene, daughter of Thomas Greene and Elisabeth Brooks, circa 1850; His 2nd wife. Went to Ohio. William S. Whippey died on 10 February 1881 at Rootstown, O., at age 65.
